When will my rehab begin?

Your rehab begins per your doctor’s orders, typically as soon as you arrive at Bishop Spencer Place. Upon admission, our therapy team will develop an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with your doctor. Our medical director also provides oversight to ensure the best care and therapy plans are in place.

What type of clothing should I bring?

We suggest wearing comfortable athletic wear or leisurewear. This may include items such as tennis shoes and sweatpants. Your nurse will provide you with specific instructions if need-be.

How will my family stay informed about my progress?

Our social services team receives daily updates from the staff and closely tracks each person’s care plan. Our social workers hold meetings with family members as appropriate, and your family is welcome to contact the social workers at any time to ask for an update.

Will Medicare pay for skilled nursing?

What if I need special equipment when I am discharged?

Before you discharge, our therapy team and social workers will develop a plan to help you transition back to your home. This plan will include any equipment needs or services you may need. Our team will work with you and your insurance provider to ensure you have what you need to return home.
